- Sheet Pan or a 9×5 loaf pan
- Ground beef– 80%, 85% or 90% works well. Ground turkey or chicken can be substituted.
- Eggs– I use large eggs
- Stove Top Stuffing– any flavor works, but savory herb or cornbread are my go-to’s
- Chicken broth– can also use beef broth, vegetable broth, or water.
- Ketchup– for the topping. If you don’t like ketchup, use BBQ sauce, Chili Sauce, or Salsa.
How To Make It
Prep the Stuffing – In a large bowl, combine the Stove Top stuffing mix with the broth. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes until the stuffing softens.

Mix the Meatloaf – Add the ground beef and eggs to the bowl with the stuffing. Mix gently with your hands until just combined—don’t overmix, or your meatloaf may turn out tough.

Shape & Bake – Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan or shape into a loaf on a lined baking sheet.

Top it– Spread the ketchup over the top

Bake – Bake at 350°F for 45–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Rest & Serve – Let the meatloaf rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite sides.

Tips
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven in individual slices.
- Freeze it: You can freeze Stove Top Stuffing Meatloaf! Bake as directed and let cool completely. Slice and wrap the individual slices in foil and add them to a freezer safe bag. Freeze up to 4 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and bake in the foil on a sheet pan for 20 minutes at 350ºF, or from frozen for 30 minutes, or until heated through.
- Make it ahead: Just assemble the meatloaf, add to a baking pan and wrap in foil. Refrigerate up to 24 hours then bake as directed.
Variations
- Cheesy Twist – Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar or mozzarella into the meatloaf mixture.
- Make it with Turkey – Swap in ground turkey for a lighter version.
- Glaze Upgrade – Mix ketchup with a little brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce for a sweet-savory topping. Alternatively, top with BBQ sauce, chili sauce, or salsa.
- Mini Meatloaves – Divide the mixture into a muffin tin for individual portions that bake in about 25 minutes. If you’re feeling a little extra, top them with mashed potato “icing”!
