Ingredients
- 3-5 pound ham boneless or bone-in
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 21 ounce can pineapple rings with juice
Method
- Spray a crock pot with nonstick spray or use a crock pot liner. Place the ham in the crock pot.
- In a bowl melt the butter then whisk in the brown sugar, maple syrup, pineapple juice and cloves. Pour over the ham.
- Place the pineapple rings on top and around the ham. If the ham is pre-sliced, add some pineapple in between slices.
- Cook on low 3-4 hours or on high 2 hours, basting halfway through the cooking time.
- Let the ham rest at least 10 minutes before slicing. Place ham slices on a serving platter with the pineapple slices and pour over the cooking juices.
- Optional: after cooking place the ham on a sheet pan or in a baking dish. Pour over the sauce and broil a couple of minutes to get a crisp outside.
