Ingredients
- 36 ounce bag frozen tortellini
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Method
- First , prepare the meat sauce: Add the ground beef to a medium sized skillet with thew onion and garlic.
- Cook the ground beef with the onion and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. (Drain meat if necessary.)
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and add in the Italian seasoning. Pour the spaghetti sauce into the beef mixture and mix everything together.
- Once the meat sauce is cooked, add the frozen tortellini in to the crock pot and pour in the meat sauce and chicken broth.
- Cut the cream cheese into pieces and place the cubes on top. Cover and cook on low 4 hours or on high for 2 hours.
- Sprinkle in the shredded mozzarella cheese and spinach and stir until well combined.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
