Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 3 cups tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 28-32 oz bag frozen cheese ravioli
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese plus more for serving
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- Chopped basil or flat leave parsley for garnish optional
Method
- Preheat oven to 350ºF
- Lightly spray or oil a 9 x 13 baking dish
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix the sauce in with the beef.
- Pour 1/2 cup of sauce mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Add half of the frozen ravioli on top of the sauce in a single layer.
- Top with half of the cooked ground beef sauce mixture, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and half of the parmesan cheese.
- Repeat the layer- frozen ravioli, ground beef sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Makes 6-8 servings
Make it in a Crock Pot:
- Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium, season, and drain if necessary.
- Spray your crock pot with non stick spray, oil, or line your crock pot with a crock pot liner.
- Add 1/2 c of the tomato sauce to the bottom of the crock pot.
- Add 1 single layer of the frozen ravioli (half the bag), then half of the cooked ground beef, 1 cup of sauce and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle on grated parmesan cheese.
- Repeat the layers: layer the remaining ravioli, the rest of the beef, the remaining sauce, and the other cup of mozzarella cheese.
- Cook on low 2 hours.
