Homemade Crock Pot Apple Cider

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds apples roughly chopped. Any apples will work, I like a combination of sweet and tart.
  • 1 large orange chopped
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp whole cloves
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 10 cups water

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to your crock pot and cook on low 6-8 hours or on high 4 hours.
  • Using a potato masher, mash the apples and oranges to get all the flavor out.
  • Strain the fruit and spices from the apple cider with a fine mesh strainer or cheese cloth.
  • Serve warm from the crock pot. For a party just keep it on the warm or low setting.

Notes

Store in the fridge for a up to week in an airtight container or you can freeze it up to 8 months.
