A refreshing autumn cocktail, Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria is made with simple ingredients-prosecco, apple cider, amaretto and club soda. It's a perfect pitcher drink for any occasion.

Sparkling Apple Cider Sangria

A refreshing autumnal drink, perfect for a party, Halloween or Thanksgiving dinner

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bottle Prosecco Champagne or White Wine
  • 1 cup Amaretto
  • 4 cups apple cider + more for ice cubes
  • 1 cup club soda
  • 2 apples sliced
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • Caramel and cinnamon sugar for rim garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Freeze apple cider in ice cube trays to chill (to keep the sangria cold without watering it down)
  2. Pour the Prosecco, amaretto, apple cider and club soda into a pitcher or punch bowl. Stir together.
  3. Add sliced apples and cinnamon sticks.
  4. Place frozen apple cider cubes in the sangria to keep it cold.
  5. Optional: Pour caramel on one dish and cinnamon sugar on to another dish.
  6. Dip a glass rim into the caramel and then into the cinnamon sugar.
  7. Fill with sangria. Garnish with apple slices and a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Substitute the prosecco for champagne or white wine.
  • Use bourbon, Fireball, or brandy instead of amaretto.
  • Add frozen cranberries, orange slices, or grapes to keep it cold without watering it down or adding more apple cider.
