Ingredients
Brownie Layer:
- 18 oz brownie mix + Ingredients listed on the box usually oil, eggs, and water
Cream Cheese Layer:
- 1 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 8 oz tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Chocolate Pudding Layer:
- 2 3.9 oz boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk less than box directions for thicker pudding
Topping:
- 1 8 oz tub whipped topping
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips for garnish
Method
- Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix instructions.
- Prepare and bake the brownies in a greased 9x13 inch pan as directed on the box.
- Let cool completely before adding layers.
Make the Cream Cheese Layer:
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar, salt, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Fold in 1 tub of whipped topping until smooth and fluffy. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Spread evenly over the cooled brownie layer.
Make the Pudding Layer:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mixes and 3 cups of cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes).
- Let sit for 5 minutes to fully thicken.
- Spread over the cream cheese layer.
Final Layer:
- Spread the remaining tub of whipped topping over the pudding layer.
- Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips for garnish.
Chill:
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) before serving to let the layers set. Slice with a warm, sharp knife into squares and enjoy!
