Equipment
- 9×13 Baking Dish
- Offset Spatula– optional, but I feel like it makes spreading the layers so much easier than a spatula
- Electric Mixer
- Mixing Bowls
Brownie Layer:
- 18 ounce box brownie mix (for a 9×13 pan)
- Ingredients listed on the box (usually oil, eggs, and water)
Cream Cheese Layer:
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Chocolate Pudding Layer:
- 2 (3.9 oz) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk (less than box directions for thicker pudding)
Topping:
- 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, for garnish

How To Make It
Make the Brownie Base:
Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix instructions.
Prepare and bake the brownies in a greased 9×13 inch pan as directed on the box.
Let cool completely before adding layers.

Make the Cream Cheese Layer:
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add powdered sugar, salt, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Fold in 1 tub of whipped topping until smooth and fluffy. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Spread evenly over the cooled brownie layer.

Make the Pudding Layer:
In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mixes and 3 cups of cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes).
Let sit for 5 minutes to fully thicken.

Spread over the cream cheese layer.

Final Layer:
Spread the remaining tub of whipped topping over the pudding layer.
Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips for garnish.

Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) before serving to let the layers set. Slice with a warm, sharp knife into squares and enjoy!

Tips
- For extra chocolate flavor, stir mini chocolate chips into the brownie batter before baking.
- Make sure the brownie layer is fully cooled before layering—otherwise, it will melt the cream cheese mixture.
- Slice with a warm knife for clean cuts.
- Cover leftovers and store in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
