This One Pan Chicken Sausage Boursin Orzo Bake is the kind of recipe you’ll come back to again and again. It’s a full meal in one dish with flavorful chicken sausage, tender orzo pasta, bright asparagus, bursting cherry tomatoes in a creamy sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 puck garlic & herb Boursin cheese
  • 3 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 16 oz orzo pasta
  • 1 lb asparagus washed and cut into bite-size pieces
  • 11 oz chicken sausage any variety — red pepper Asiago is amazing!
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon juice optional
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the Boursin cheese in the center of a 9x13 baking dish.
  3. Pour the dry orzo pasta all around the cheese.
  4. Add the chicken broth directly into the dish.
  5. Toss in the asparagus, sliced chicken sausage, cherry tomatoes, and minced garlic.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30–40 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
  8. Remove from the oven and mash the cheese and tomatoes gently.
  9. Stir everything together until creamy and fully combined.
  10. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice (if using) and adjust seasoning as needed.
