These Pittsburgh Pork Chops are a classic—juicy, oven-baked pork chops smothered in sweet and tangy chili sauce, soft caramelized onions, and a savory pan gravy that’s begging to be poured over mashed potatoes.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the sliced onions across the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add pork chops and sear for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Transfer to the baking dish and place on top of the onions.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the chili sauce, chicken broth, and Worcestershire. Pour the sauce evenly over the top of the pork chops.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with foil. Bake for 1 hour.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, until pork is tender and the sauce has thickened slightly.
  8. Spoon the onions and sauce over the chops. Serve with mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice to soak up every drop.
