Ingredients
- 28-30 ounce bag frozen tater tots
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 10.5 ounce can cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 onion diced or grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Cook the beef in a skillet with the onion over medium high heat until cooked through. Drain if necessary. Season with salt, pepper (to taste) and garlic powder. Take off the heat and mix in the cream of chicken soup.
- Pour the beef mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
- Top with 1 cup cheddar cheese.
- Line with the frozen tater tots. Stuff them in, put them on their thinner side, they should all fit in a 9x13 dish. Top the tater tots with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake uncovered 40-50 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown.
