One Skillet Kielbasa, Gnocchi & Broccoli
I, for one, love a delicious one skillet dinner and this One Skillet Kielbasa, Gnocchi & Broccoli does not disappoint! Smoky kielbasa, pillowy gnocchi, and tender broccoli all come together in a creamy garlic butter sauce with a fresh squeeze of lemon to brighten everything up. And the best part? It’s all made in one pan in under 30 minutes.

So I actually timed myself making this one and it was exactly 26 minutes start to finish. The only prep is slicing kielbasa and chopping the broccoli florets; which can be done ahead to save you time.
I always keep kielbasa on hand for easy and quick weeknight dinners like Sheet Pan Kielbasa and Pierogi, Air Fryer Kielbasa and Peppers, and Skillet Cheesy Kielbasa and Rice. Because kielbasa is already cooked, you’re just heating it through, making it the perfect last minute dinner winner!

Ingredients
- Large Skillet– I love this cast iron skillet
- 1 (16–18 oz) package kielbasa, sliced into rounds
- 1 (16 oz) package shelf-stable potato gnocchi
- 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- Squeeze of fresh lemon juice

How To Make It
1. Brown the kielbasa
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.

2. Crisp the gnocchi
Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet. Add gnocchi in a single layer and cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly golden brown and toasted.

3. Cook the broccoli
Add broccoli and chicken broth. Cover and cook for 3–4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender.
4. Build the flavor
Add butter, garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

5. Make it creamy
Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Return the kielbasa to the skillet and toss everything together. Sprinkle in parmesan cheese and cook another 1–2 minutes until melted and creamy.
6. Finish the dish
Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to brighten the flavors. Top with fresh parsley and extra parmesan if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy!

Tips
- Use shelf-stable gnocchi-It crisps up beautifully in the skillet without boiling.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan-Let the gnocchi get golden for the best texture.
- Cut broccoli small-This helps it cook quickly and evenly.
- Add the lemon at the end-This keeps the flavor fresh and bright.
Variations
- Make it extra creamy-Add an extra splash of heavy cream or more parmesan.
- Add more veggies-Try mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers.
- Make it spicy-Increase red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce.
- Swap the protein-Use smoked sausage, chicken sausage, or even leftover rotisserie chicken.

Storage and Reheating
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a skillet with a splash of chicken broth or cream to loosen the sauce.
FAQ’s
Do I need to boil the gnocchi first?
No! Shelf-stable gnocchi cooks right in the skillet and gets slightly crispy on the outside.
Can I use frozen broccoli?
Yes, just thaw it first and pat dry so it doesn’t add excess moisture.
Can I make this ahead of time?
It’s best fresh, but leftovers reheat well with a little added liquid.
