Easy Apple Cinnamon Dump Cake
This post is sponsored by Lucky Leaf, but all opinions (and dessert cravings!) are 100% my own.

There’s always that first cool morning where you can almost smell fall in the air — and that’s when I know it’s time to bake something with apples. Every year, I reach for this Apple Cinnamon Dump Cake because it’s the easiest, most delicious way to fill the house with those warm, cozy fall smells without spending all day in the kitchen.

It’s the kind of dessert that looks like you worked hard, but really, you just “dumped and baked.” It’s buttery, warm, flavorful and ooey-gooey. My kids love helping with this one — especially sprinkling the cake mix on top. With Lucky Leaf Apple Fruit Filling, it always turns out perfectly gooey and golden every time.

- Lucky Leaf Apple Fruit Filling
- Yellow cake mix (or spice cake mix for extra fall flavor!)
- Cinnamon
- Butter
- 9×13 Baking Dish
Optional but highly recommended: Vanilla or cinnamon ice cream on the side!
How To Make It
Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Add the apples: Pour both cans of Lucky Leaf Apple Fruit Filling into the dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle the cinnamon evenly over the top.

Dump the cake mix: Sprinkle the dry cake mix right on top of the apples — no stirring!
Drizzle the butter: Pour melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Make sure every spot gets a little love. Be sure to mix any dry cake mix into the butter. I just do this with a fork. Otherwise the cake batter will still be raw after baking in those areas.

Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
Cool slightly before serving. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the full cozy fall experience.

Make It Your Own
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.
- Sprinkle on extra cinnamon or apple pie spice before baking.
- Try other Lucky Leaf flavors — peach or cherry make delicious seasonal twists!
Serving
This dessert is delicious warm out of the oven, but it’s just as good at room temperature. I love serving it straight from the pan with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream — that buttery cake topping with the gooey apple filling underneath is pure fall comfort food.
If you somehow have leftovers (you probably won’t), store them covered in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just reheat a scoop in the microwave for 20–30 seconds and enjoy all over again.

Thank you
A big thank-you to Lucky Leaf for partnering with me on this recipe! Their apple fruit filling makes baking so simple — it’s made with real fruit, the perfect sweetness, and no high fructose corn syrup. When you start with high-quality ingredients, even a 3-ingredient dessert can taste completely homemade.
