Easy Banana Bread
This is the banana bread my kids beg me to make! If you love banana bread, you have to give this Easy Banana Bread recipe a try! It’s actually made with boxed yellow cake mix, but hear me out- it’s moist and delicious!

If you are a banana bread purist, this recipe is not for you. 😉 My kids LOVE banana bread, I mean they can’t get enough. I’m convinced that they request bananas and let them get mushy on purpose so I’ll make banana bread. A loaf never lasts a day in our house.
Because I make it so often I like to change it up and try different ways to make it and use different mix-ins. I’ve used a cinnamon swirl, walnuts, Nutella swirls, but our favorite is chocolate chips-by far.

- 9×6 or similar size bread loaf pan
- nonstick spray, butter, or oil to grease the pan
- 3-4 overripe bananas
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- Unsalted butter- melted
- Eggs
- Vanilla extract
- Cinnamon
- A dash of salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional) you can also add in chopped nuts, if you prefer

How To Make It
First: Preheat your oven and mash your bananas in a large mixing bowl.
Next: Add the yellow cake mix, the melted butter, eggs, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon to the mixing bowl with the bananas. Using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer beat until mixed together.
Then: Fold in the chocolate chips, if using, and pour the batter into the greased pan.
Bake: for 45-55 minutes. Mine usually takes 50 minutes. It’s done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Tip: Check the bread at 30 minutes, if it’s browning too quickly on top loosely place a piece of foil over top.
Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan 20-30 minutes before slicing.
