- 1 (3.4 oz) box pistachio pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup whipped topping (optional, for creamier texture)
- 12 Oreo cookies, crushed
- Gummy worms
- Clear plastic cups
- Black permanent marker
How To Make It
Prep the cups – Use a permanent marker to draw Oogie Boogie’s face on each clear plastic cup. Let them dry while you make the pudding.
Make the pudding – In a medium bowl, whisk together the pistachio pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, until thickened. For a creamier texture, fold in whipped topping. (I am not using any)

Assemble the dirt cups – Spoon the green pudding into each decorated cup, filling about ¾ full.
Add the dirt – Sprinkle crushed Oreos evenly over the top of the pudding to create the “dirt” layer.

Finish with worms – Decorate with gummy worms crawling out of the “dirt.”
Chill and serve – Refrigerate the cups for at least 30 minutes before serving so they’re nice and cold.

Tips
- Make ahead: You can prep these the night before a party. Just wait to add the Oreo crumbs and gummy worms until right before serving so they stay fresh.
- Flavor swap: Not a pistachio fan? Try vanilla pudding with green food coloring.
- Bugs galore: Swap the worms for gummy spiders or centipedes for extra creepiness.
- Bigger batch: Double the recipe for a crowd—it’s easy to scale up.

FAQ’s
Can I use homemade pudding instead of instant?
Yes! Just tint it green with food coloring if it’s not pistachio flavored. Any light colored pudding can be used; such as vanilla or banana- and tinted with green food coloring.
How long will these last in the fridge?
They’re best eaten within 1–2 days, but can be stored up to 3 days. The cookies will soften the longer they sit.
What’s the easiest way to crush Oreos?
Place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin, or pulse a few times in a food processor.
Can kids help with this recipe?
Definitely! Kids will love drawing Oogie Boogie’s face, layering pudding and Oreos, and topping with gummy worms.
Perfect for a Nightmare Before Christmas themed party or movie night! 🪲🐛🪳🪱
