Just a few simple seasonings like lemon pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, and ranch added to sourdough pretzels take the pretzels from ho hum to over the top scrumptious.
These seasoned pretzels are great to put out for game day, holiday get-together, or for a delicious snack on a Tuesday afternoon.
Just 6 ingredients and less than 20 minutes from start to finish. These pretzels taste even better the next day after the flavors have had a chance to meld together, so it’s the perfect make ahead recipe!

What you’ll need
- A large sheet pan– 22″x15″ or 2 smaller 11’x17″
- Oil– canola oil, vegetable oil or melted butter
- Seasonings– a packet of ranch dry mis, lemon pepper, cayenne, and garlic powder
- Snyder’s Sourdough Hard Pretzels

How to make it
These crispy, flavor-packed pretzels are the perfect make-ahead snack for game day, road trips, or just whenever you’re craving something salty and bold. Here’s how to make them:
Step 1: Preheat the oven
Set your oven to 350°F.
Step 2: Crush the pretzels
Place the pretzels in a large bag or bowl and gently crush them into bite-sized pieces using your hands, a meat mallet, or the bottom of a pan. You want chunks—not crumbs!

Step 3: Add oil and seasonings
Transfer the crushed pretzels to a large Ziploc bag.
- Add the oil, seal the bag, and shake it well to coat all the pretzel pieces evenly.
- Then, add your seasonings (ranch mix, garlic powder, dill, or whatever your flavor combo is), seal the bag again, and shake until everything is well mixed.
Step 4: Bake
Spread the seasoned pretzels in an even layer on a sheet pan.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, stirring once if you’d like, until the pretzels are golden and crisp.

Step 5: Cool and enjoy
Let the pretzels cool completely before serving.
They’re delicious right away, but they’re even better the next day once the flavors have had time to meld together!
